Beginner Birding
Did you ever wonder about all the different types of birds that you see in our area. Well this is the perfect opportunity to learn from the Nature Center's Naturalist just how to identify each of the different species of birds. There will be one class for adults and a second class for children.
March Hikes
Two wonderful opportunites to hike the Drexel Woods have been scheduled in March to celebrate Daylight Savings and the first day of Spring. Join naturalist Rick Dutko and enjoy the extra hour of daylight on the March 11 hike to learn about the 40 acres of Drexel Woods and see some of the early signs that Spring is almost here. Rick will once again lead the March 20 hike through Drexel Woods to see all of the plants and animals that have already taken advantage of Spring.
Fur, Feathers, Scales and Skin
The Lawrence Nature Center will host the Philadelphia Zoo on Wheels and Furs, Feathers, Scales and Skin. A hands on exploratory program focusing for pre-K to second graders. For more information on this program see the flyer. Registration is required and participation limited.
